Been a long time since I did some TMNT fan art. Here's a little art of the '87 version of Shredder I wiped up. This is dedicated to the late James Avery. As many of you probably know, actor James Avery past away recently. Mr. Avery was most famous for his role as (Uncle) Phil Banks on the the popular sitcom Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, but many, myself included, remember him as the voice of the Shredder in the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon series.
The news of Mr. Avery's death was a sour way to ring in the new year, to say the least. He was a good actor and a good man and will be missed. I felt the need to pay tribute to the man who first gave one of my favorite villains a voice.
