so...do you grid this, or do you just do a rough sketch until it looks right, then apply the detail?
le sigh. where do you get the time to do this anyway? I get the time to sketch, but never to really flesh a drawing out.
also, do you know where i can get a white charcoal pencil? I've seen you use them before, so I just wondered.

It's all free hand. I do kind of what we did with the cast drawing; I block everything out, then go back and refine detail.
*Sighs in unison* I really don't have much time to work on these. I try to work before school and between class periods. The initial drawing itself i like to finish in one sitting, so I try to get that part done at home.
I got my white charcoal from Michaels. Mine came in a pack with 3 black pencils, but I think you can buy them separately.
