Yes, this is a digital art piece, I used a pencil brush. It isn't sketchy, it's how I draw, although I can draw a lot cleaner then this.
This a surprise drawing I drew for my best friend It is a picture of his OC Aegis Lesus Nautas who is a Pure One Lieutenant Major. [link]
I also wanted to test out some new brushes which told me to try out on the Owl Fantasy Forums. Since I was wondering how I could draw more digital art but make it feel as if I was doing my traditional work.

Out of all the thumbnails you shared of your various styles, this piece had to be my favorite. I love how you layer loose marks to create depth through shadows and highlights to create a very striking effect. The contrast of the background and the black of the hood brings the image forward to draw focus on the form. It's a illustrative style that carries through several of your works where your loose marks create accurate values that translate into realism. This is really, really cool. Β AMAZING! Β The depth and I like the style, all sketchy, like you were trying to quickly put the image down on to paper, from a memory, to be able to save it for later. Β I really like it!
