This is Eve drawing one of her dreams, she dreams of standing in a dark empty plane that stretches out for miles, nothing there, just the back floor and a grey horizon.
I also had to edit this one quite a bit on Photoshop as there is so much graphite on the page it reflects a lot of light. I tried taking a photograph of this one multiple times and they kept coming out all screwed up.
Also, I should stop drawing Eve so much. :>

Some suggestive shape into the cape would've made it look more real/3D. I do like how the design of the helmet leads the viewer towards the owls eye, that is very well thought off! As for the owls silhouette I think it could have been made more interesting by having things stick out. I was quite stuck with the cape; I just figured that because she was in a void – her own dream, I imagined it to be windless. Although, I could have drawn some folds in there as what I have done with my latest Digital pieces.
It is interesting to see your interpretation of the piece, you have made me realise that I should have lit the feathers just around her eye, as the light also hits there and is not shielded by her helmet.

I LOVE it! It's a great, original new take on the Guardians of Ga'Hoole. I LOVE her face, but the legs are a bit funky and spikey. I love the texture entwined throughout the whole thing. The wing shape is a little 2-D (shading-wise) and shaped oddly, like too smooth..... although I only noticed these things after staring at it awhile for the critique. All in all, it is a great piece and I love it. So, is your owl a Pure One, or why does she have the symbol on her cape? Do you have a thing in your gallery explaining her history, etc.? It's very interesting.

I am not happy with the legs (well leg) either, because it was the last thing I drew in the drawing and I couldn't rub out all the soil pencil in that area which annoyed me quite a bit.

I really love the contrast on this one. A lot of it is very dark, which certainly sets the foreboding tone, and the drawing is brought out with the sharp highlights in the armor. I like the textures you used, too, especially in the owl's feathers and the fabric on her back. This just looks really awesome!

I use a lot of black in my work, which some people would object to. I plan to draw something like this, but on black paper and only using a white medium to see what kind of effect it would have. Thank you. :3

Indeed, I will try and make an even more realistic one day, when I have a lot of spare time on my hands. But for this one, as you can see the wing isn't exactly real, I stylized it a little.

It did, took about 10 to 12 hours over 3 days to draw. At first I wasn't happy with it because the shading around the helmet was a bit odd looking. But I stuck with it and tried my best and in the end it turned out OK.

This is amazing! I never knew Eve had a pure one design on her cloak, lulz.
If you try to look in the distance in a dream, reality seems to blur - perhaps thats why you can't see where the plain ends and the sky begins in this piece. :3

This is the first time I added it, her cloak looked a bit plain so I decided to add a design on there. There is a black strip along the end of her cloak usually but I couldn't fit it in this picture, but it's seen in the digital drawing I did of her. It's a weird place she keeps dream about, she dreams about is quite bit in my fan fiction, the place she dreams about is meant to reflect what her personality is like it, serious, she cannot take a joke, she also cold and so on. In the distance there is a bright light, like the end of a tunnel, she's tried to fly towards it but it's so far away she never gets close. So yeah, staring at the bright light could cause some problems.

The future would make Mary Sue-ish, I was thinking she could look into glimpses in the past, but this wouldn't happen until later on in the story.
