I love it! Redlance + Nightfall was always my favourite EQ couple. Nightfall was definitely one of Cutter's strongest supporters (I don't think she sides against him even once) and besides Skywise, I think she was his best friend. Her and Redlance are probably the reason Cutter stayed as far away from despair as he did during his family's absence.
I love the way you've posed them, especially Redlance and Cutter. It's a very loving, intimate pose, and it shows the lack of distinction the elves make when it comes to what is feminine/masculine. One of the reasons I still love EQ is how pure and almost naive the elves' attitudes to relationships are. They don't make as much of a distinction as we do between friendship, love and sex. I always assumed that Nightfall and Redlance would offer Cutter a great deal of physical intimacy, which is so important to the EQ elves.
The personalities of these characters and the bonds they share come across beautifully in this picture, it feels like this is Cutter's sanctuary. Very well done, indeed!

I don’t think Cutter would have made it without Nightfall and Redlance. I wanted to show their relationship during the wait, cause Cutter being all alone made me all sad and I wanted to cheer him (and myself) up.
This whole pic started when I found the pose I used on Nightfall. I suppose the “obvious” thing would be to place the boys on either side of her…buuuut I didn’t want that. Lets face it- the elves are rather easygoing when it comes to boys/girls/love/friendship. This is one of the things I love most about Elfquest.
So I decided to let Cutter and Redlance cuddle to emphasize the intimate relationship the three of them share.
