History repeats itself, especially with time travel: [link]
I knew that book, but with a different cover.

It's one of the first things you think of, really. Also, I was given a description for the cover art (the bagpipes and badgers were my personal touches )

I'm sure that somewhere exists a list of arche- & stereotypes in time travel story cover art and Dinos are on top. Laumer wrote many time travel stories, guess what's on the cover of "Dinosaur Beach". Too choose a bagpipe is self evident, it sounds "backwards". I don't know who established the badgers in the Elemental universe, but s/he was rather close, Meerkats share the same habitat: [link]

Tweed, indeed! It is a contrivance most odd...

Is there a script or a title or are all these elements your own invention? I have no idea how the Elemental comics get developed.

The Editor, Chris Mole, gave me the main elements he wanted, I played with them a bit...

Good, no total artistic freedom for the team. Which can be fun, but mostly ends up in randomness. Editors rule, even that means that my "prop" will probably not make it in the story. But we're not in Hollywood where they make whole movies around a single detail ("How about blue aliens?"), aren't we?
