Excellent job. The detail right done to the hair is exacting. Great job.

mm i know right! i have the same feeling, but i dont get ANY views if i dont, so ill do a couple a day anyways haha
Forgettable gallery? Thats makes sense, considering i recognised you. haha
I never submit to groups... is it beneficial?
Newsflash, not to give you a big head, but you already are awesome! haha you're what i aspire to, for sure.
6 months, thats rather specific.

Groups can get you a toooon more viewers, yeah. Think of it this way: if you have a deviation that has 700 views and 100 favourites, what would happen if it had 7,000 views? Most likely, you would gain another 900 favourites. More exposure will definitely gain one attention, and groups are a platform for exposure.
Haha, thanks.
Well, I did a lot of speed studies and stuff last year, trying to get my bearings on environments, trying to get more comfortable with various types of paintings. This year, it's all about portfolio building. I've done some studying, now it's time to really flex my art muscles.
I can definitely say that only a couple images in my gallery actually display my current skill level. So within the next few months, I plan on fixing that.

I usually check what groups other artists are a part of. If a painting is in thirty groups, I peek through them and see if I fit with any of them. I just started submitting to groups about a week ago, too.
Haha, yes, I'd like to go into illustration and concept art eventually. Motivation is sometimes a big problem for me, too. Look at lots of art, read lots about art, and then make a list of things you actually want to accomplish and how you want to accomplish them. The more you think about your art, the better your art turns out, and the more fun it is. For instance: I want to be better at drawing creatures, especially reptilian creatures like dragons. To accomplish this, I've begun to sketch a dinosaur from reference every morning. It's already making me more aware of dino bodies.

I drew a few faces the other day, too. I figure if I draw many pretty, elegant, well-proportioned faces, my own faces will start to adopt those traits.
Mhmm, drawing every single day is the way to do it. Half an hour every day beats three hours every weekend!
I know, I have the same problem. My list of things to draw / paint is overwhelming! Faces, anatomy, design work, environments of various sorts, snow, forests, architecture... it drives me crazy!!

Absolutely do it!
And thanks! I've actually found that submitting to groups is more efficient than using getwatchers, and it feels more rewarding too.
