My half of the art-trade with the wonderful of her lovely Gray Wolf, Hopi. (Hence the title; canis lupus is the scientific name for the Gray Wolf.) So original, no? |D Hopi was incredibly fun to draw, since the colors are so mellow and the markings match beautifully.

Overall I'm rather pleased with the outcome, especially the face and neck fluff. I went back to my older way of shading, which has more texture, and combined it with a bit of gradient shading. But, ughh, LINEARTING fudsldk;maboiuer is such a pain. TT___TT Even with resizing 50%, it still isn't as smooth as I'd like it to be. D: AND AND the "background"... XD oh god I couldn't think of anything else. So. It fails. u__u; Which is funny to say because it's better than what I can usually do. XD

Ah well, I still do like it very much. A chance for improvement, it was. ^___^ I just hope Ayem likes it too!

I googled some wolf pics, and the forehead's just barely too long. Or the snout should be longer. It's relative. Anyway the ears are too far apart too, but it looks nice anyway XD

Well, sometimes I take photographs of my traditional pieces if I don't feel like using the scanner. Maybe you could do that?
