Description From the top of the Cabot tower, Bristol, England. A panorama of 18 images covering just over 360°.

Full view a MUST - and you'll have to scroll, sorry. There's an intermediate size version at: [link] if the full view is really too big for you to download, but it doesn't do the view justice.

[link] is a detail within this scene, but separately shot at a longer zoom.

I like it, although I don't think this is the best you could have done. You can see in a full view the difference in colours of shots, I mean lightning, It's not right..
but well done because It must've taken some time.

Thank you

I did this one manually before I had stitching software - maybe I'll do it again with the software!

The software takes a long time, too - but I can do something else while it's doing it.

i like this panorma photographs especially this one because of the view. i tried to make something like this once but didn't turn out that well, there were problems with the lighting

Thank you!

I've always loved panoramas. I used to make them with prints in film camera days - great fun with scissors and glue! You have to cut the prints very carefully to make them match up.

Thanks! Yes, it was quite a bit of work. I normally do these things at full camera resolution and only resize them down when I've finished, but my computer doesn't have enough memory to do that with this one.

Very nice bit of photography - and needlework!
The Cabot tower seems to be a good vantage point for this sort of thing. In many other cities tall things seem to be adjacent to other tall things, reducing the horizon considerably; the views from St. Paul's and The Monument being good examples of this.

The Cabot tower has the advantage of starting on the top of a hill. Sometime I might go up Ely cathedral tower again - that's got a pretty good view. I just got a few individual shots from up there last time I went - film isn't that cheap!
