Costumy — Steampunk Spats 'Granny's Garden' by-nc-nd

Description Some very nice steampunk spats I made for myself the last two days.

With embroidered braid, fitting embroidered flowers on the sides and a velcro on the innner side to open them.

Fabric used: brown/light brown tweed-like fabric (don't know it's real name) and an anthracite suit cloth for the lining.
The laced braid was selfmade from an old vintage plate.

Pattern are my own.
Brushes used on the picture are from "punksaftypin".

Ahh I love spats! The laced braid accents it wonderfully  And by self-made does that mean it was stitched/croched? I'm curious.

I love the lace too, It's so unused on some traditional spats I've seen. I love the brown too, It really goes with the steampunk theme, since most of steampunk suff is meta/brown, so It fits

The lace is a recycled old tea cloth, so it wasn't done completely by myself.

I love these I wish I had some, I would wear them all the time lol. The leaf detail on the sides works very well and really adds to them. I am a little unsure what I think about the light brown/white combo, perhaps it is just the white but something about the two together seems a little odd but overall I reallyreally love these.

Yeah, I wasn't shure with that color combo, too, but it looked very well when I firstly wore them onto my shoes.

Bis mitte letzten Jahres war ich auch noch kein Mittelalterfan außer in videospielen xD

Ne mir gehts um dieses gerüsche ^^ Noch vorn paar Jahren hätte man mich damit (genauso wie mit der farbe Pink xD) jagen können, aber das gefällt mir
Es ist schlicht und doch schick
