Beautiful. Looks simply surreal. Gotta love the sky. :Q_____________
You used a 10-22? I have one too... Now if only if I could get to such scenic locations...

No, it belongs to my friend. I use a 12-24mm which suck. I am getting a 10-22mm by next month.

Great! 10-22 is great, distortion is very minimum, the sharpness is superb, build quality is great, just no weather sealing, but that's not needed because it's an EF-S. From my photos, I actually think it's better with a 400D than a 17-40mm with a 5D, overall. With your 40D, it'll be just great.

Another thing, sorry: How did you manage to use 3 Cokin filters on it? I can't even use the standard holder without getting vignetting.

Oh no... you can't put your feet there my dear, this is very steep, even the stones are sharp and rough. It was though for me getting at this spot.

Ah yes, can't help that because in reality, the are far and the contrast has gone.

Ah perhaps so, they may however look less burnt if you desaturated them a bit however, perhaps a gradient could do this effectively.

I wouldn't touch it, because there are signs of stacking (layering of the gradient). In this case, only the noise can reduce the stacking. If I pull a white gradient on, all the "true colours" would be revealed. Plus I think with the new frame-less has put into some effect, it looks quite nice and pleasing then the old big and bulky.

Ah, the bordering does look fine. However, by the gradient, you did realise that I meant a saturation layer though, right? A gradient could be used to define the level of saturation, from the bottom being the most saturated to the top being the least, to whatever degree you define.
