I just discovered a comment on here that I had apparently made... Obviously I'd left my Deviantart logged in and Laura had posted a comment - I thought I'd pop it up here for you all to see!

Many Many thanks to Emily for her prayers and the beautiful picture! We have the original paper version in our baby keepsake box!

"On the wings of a prayer..."
Those of you who read my journal will probably know what this is about. Please bear with me if that's the case.
My sister Laura is heavily pregnant and has had complications that have lead to her being admitted into hospital today. As soon as I found out I felt completely helpless and wanted to do something for her. I didn't even get to speak to her to make sure she was ok. This was all I could think of doing for her.
I really wanted to get it finished tonight so I could at least think I'd done what I could. There's nothing more any of us can do now but hope and pray.
I love you Laura! I know you can pull through!
I'm not looking for crit on this, I know what's wrong with it. But its more feeling than a piece of art anyway. Thanks

Your lineart is amazingly smooth, the proportions look right and the colouring is even better.
I really envy your skills with pencils, or are they copics?

They're neither Pencils or copics! ^_~ Though I did use markers. I used a brand called Letraset that are manufactured in the UK so they're easier for me to get hold of! ^__^

Oh! You use Letraset? I really need to pick some of those up at the next London MCM Expo, I saw them selling them.

Yup! ^__^ I use a mixture of both their Tria and Pro range! My first set was a set of Pro markers called "comic arts set1" I think... It has a fair few skin tones in so it's a good start! ^__^
The Tria markers have a nice brush tip which is easier for blending or doing soft shading... but they're almost double the price >.>;
Enter all their contests! ^__^ They usually offer decent prizes and you could build up your collection that way!!
