As featured inThis picture took me quite a while to finish!
But I was very happy with it when I had! ^___^I wanted to put it up sooner but NEO had said they they would prefer the main picture not to be published anywhere prior to the magazine coming out! So I've been sitting on this just over a month now!
It's good to finally share it now though! 
The idea for this actually hit me on the drive over to Ben's work place at the end of the day (I occasionally take him to work) so I pulled up outside his place of work, grabbed a scrap of paper in my handbag (I always keep paper in my handbag for such emergencies) and began sketching while waiting for him to finish work! I then scanned that in when we got home and worked on it in Manga Studio from there! XD

You might have noticed Adenine has had a bit of a tweaking - I decided he didn't look freaky enough in his initial design... so I made him a little creepier! ;3

Its nice to see this piece without the various boxes that are over it in the magazine.
God that hand is SO creepy, its the shading on the nails that does it I think. So horrible and cracked fdjgbndfg gross.

Oh wow! This is super amazing! Finally got around to commenting on this thing... It really seems to show what the series is about. It always had a "dark and gritty" and steam punk (must be the clothing, I think!) sort of feel to me. xD;
I'm lovin' the colors and the dramatic look of the poster too. I enjoy how, of course, it has the entire main cast (including Genevieve! Yay!). I await more of this comic. :'3

I think when I was designing everyone I went for a sort of Casual Steam Punk theme!! It's not quite as detailed and coggy as "real" steampunk though... I think

It's a brilliant composition full of colour, narrative and suspense! It must have been hard to keep this one to yourself for a whole month! Being in Neo must have been worth it! I'm going to go to town today after work to see if I can hunt down a copy!

Knowing where to start is easy... what you need is a scrap of paper in a handbag... the rest is details!
I did a bit of resizing jiggery in photoshop too though!

Seriously though... most of my pictures start on scraps where I try and map out a page in thumbnail sketches - just like I do for my comic! Maybe give that a whirl sometime?

Yeah, I do that for my comic too, but for big illustrations I don't tend to plan at all and just dive in headfirst - not always the best approach xD
I'd like to do another one like the old poster, but a lot better xD There are a lot of mistakes in the old one that make my skin crawl when I look at it e____e and now I have more characters to add in too!
