sup everyone.im proud of this pic. took a bit of time and i tried some new pen technique(for me). i made the lines thicker and i added shadows with the pen. they accent nicely with the color. the white outline makes sure they can be seen.
this is the first part of a short series im workin on. the suit is a recycled concept i made a few months ago. [link]
im gonna redo the lightning one, and make a fire element person. ill make some element ones if you can think of any.

select and copy the area u want to glow.
put it above your inks layer so it doesnt get obscured.
copy that filter>gaussion blur. pick the ammount you want. too much or too little and u wont be able to see it.
set the layer to screen then copy that layer a couple times and that should do it.

i hate not being able to see hands...dunno why...just bugs me...
i always try to include a hand, in some ways they are as expressive as the face, y'know? but that's just me...and you asked for coments...

I've noticed how pens and markers can make all the difference in a couple of my older works; a technique I didn't carry on; but looks damn good when done right
