Yeah in this case it is really the surfaces, glass, gloss, and ray tracing etc are nutty. It is fine though in the end I'm interested in a high quality result so I can be a little patient. I do need to upgrade my video card to a 8 gb over 4gb and play with a few more things to make it easier... but thanks for the suggestions and thoughts... I'll explore those angles more.

Ray tracing...?...ouch, I have an artist friend who cringes at using that selection. You get great looking results but takes time as well.

I'm using Poser 9 until I can get a chance to upgrade to Poser 2014 ... I have Daz3d around somewhere but I had issues with it when I first started... so I Haven't gone back to revisit it quite yet.

What part of it? The scene, the props, hair, character? The scene is the Confined Lab by !3-d-c I think on Renderosity. The characters vary as I have bought a bunch of merchant resources for skin to eventually sell my own resources. The hair was Super Bob from Renderosity (But the texture I made myself for it as that didn't come with it by default). The Maid outfit is also from Renderosity, called Kiruna as are the Headphones which are labeled as Kitten Headphones I think. The eyes did myself.

Ok well that answers my next question; did you do any of this yourself?

I think I did quite a bit really. I put all the disparate pieces together to make the scene and make the concept. Each of the female models are ones that through the various morph capabilities that I have to match up to the DA member they represent. That includes building the skin textures you see and editing those PNG or JPEGs as the case may be. The eyes I made from scratch and then did the ambient effects that make them glow. But the base textures for the eyes are all me.
I am sure I forgetting much of what I've done but then again this was just a test render to see how the different pieces work together. How the clothing in particular and props worked with models of different proportions, skin type, etc... and how that all worked together. I went through 50 renders where I edited settings, textures, etc to get this ultimate piece out. It isn't a matter of I just threw this together. There is a lot of work I have had to do here to make this all work even if I bought resources to make this work, I own the rights to use those resources etc without having to give credit. Though if folks as I tell them where I got them so that other 3d artists can find resources they can utilize as well for whatever project.
