Description She asked to many questions, this was her answer

Didn't have much time the last few days as I had planned ... so I just was playing around a little bit this evening... I have a long weekend so I hope to have some time complete some work and play around with some concepts I've talking to with folks So I played with some latex ... this is a body suit with a mask I used ... I am not a fan of the seams so I may try it another way... but it was sort of fun. I also don't quite like the all black ...

if you dont like seams, just use a latex shader. it changes the skin rather than being a "cloth" like bodysuits are.

That is what I do use generally, this is very old, it may have used the V4 bodysuit, which actually has settings to get rid of seams I have found... so yeah shaders tend to be what I use now a days , thanks!

I really like this head to toe black drone. I do think it would look reallyl cool with a gleaming silver collar to finish it off.

Maybe, I'm still working on the base material... still not quite where I want it, thanks for the feedback!

Thanks guys for the info.. I once tried Daz Studio, but I didn't like how you had to use a spherical gimbal-type feature to make pose changes. I'm hoping Poser lets you make pose adjustments incrementally using sliders or typed in angular displacements or something along those lines instead.

You can use a dial, manually do it with a tool, or enter a value for a parameter directly. I had trouble with Daz3d as well but I haven't with Poser. It will take some time getting used to etc... but feel free to drop me a line. I use the dials for the most part and refine with manual inputs.

That's good to hear that there are a variety of ways to do such tasks.

Once I start getting used to Poser, I am toying with the idea of trying to do a Poser version of my latest photo manip that has the four "biodrones" in it.

Who knows, maybe we could even collaborate on an image someday if I get as good with Poser as you are.

We could collaborate anyways... story, images doesn't matter. I'm not stellar with Poser still learning but it's all fun. But it isn't really in my eyes a competition so I collaborate with a variety folks as we enjoy this stuff

I was going to buy a new computer to run it, but apparently I need to research what it -really- takes to run the software. I guess if I want to see the effects of the work I do in real time then I need to probably have a computer built instead. I'm hearing all kinds of horror stories of folks having to wait like 20 minutes just to see simple rendering changes.

I haven't run into that but then again. I started with a decent system though not as powerful as I want to get. I have a 2 GB Graphic card and 8 GB of normal RAM and I haven't had any issues ... beyond that of my own making. Things like Hair or highly complicated lighting/reflections etc will take longer but I haven't had a 20 minute wait for a simple change...

I've got Poser software coming, so I will now try o start doing images like what you have above. I have a couple of questions though.

1) Is it difficult to turn Poser work into JPEG images?
2) Is there a way to slope the shoulders down a bit so that the figure looks more relaxed?

No they have a fairly standard (and easy) way to export images. So not difficult at all. As for the slope of the shoulders, with Poser you have full control of the body etc so you can slope and manipulate fairly easily. There are dials to move the body parts in a variety of ways. In this case I was using an MC pose I had in my library. I wasn't fiddling to much beyond with materials for the suit etc in this case.

I'm not the author, obviously, but speaking as somebody who has worked with 3D software I can say:
1) No
2) Yes, you have total control over the position of all of the joints on rigged models
