It can be believed that Zima was named for his personality. While not having an entirely frosty personality, the man is CYNICAL to the point of losing all hope at the sight of a patient with a cold. Granted, the reason he acts this way is to inspire the doctors who work under him to prove him wrong, in order to not have them too dependent on his professional opinion. He's rarely away from the hospital but on his off days, his switch turns off and an entire different person comes to play. Zima is a quiet individual who puts on a mask in order to lead people, knowing that his true self wouldn't manage.
