Likes: Ran when she isn't hugging him; Kiri as she was so generous to offer him her home, the other Masato on most days, hanging out with Arisu since she's about the only girl who isn't nuts though she still hugs him, peace and quiet, kids, and a good bottle of sake.

Dislikes: The hugs. The freaking hugs , being teased, he knows it just for fun but he can get easily agitated, when he has to take his medicine (tastes like shit) and when he doesn't get enough sleep.

Personality: A gruff sort of individual. He can be friendly if you're not all up in his business. Is more at ease with children than adults.

History: For Masa, his story begins on the operating table of the Chinese doctor known as Seirin Shingetsu. The Volcarna had found the young man near death and using all of his medical expertise, managed to save the man's life. However, there was a price, as the dragonite did not recollect who he was. So, taking pity, the doctor gave him his surname and the name "Masato", though he did not claim him as his son.

For months, Masato was under Seirin's care, learning how to use his bodily functions. His arms and legs had been heavily damaged and he was told that he couldn't exert most activities due to the state of his heart. At any given moment, his heart can give out and Seirin has stressed not to do strenuous activity, though Masato listens up to a point. So, before the young man left his care, he prescribed Masa a bit of herbal medicine from his native China, with the cost that Masa must come back to him every month for a check up and a refill. He does, though begrudgingly and he does put it off.

Masato came to Scorched Mountain not to find out who he was, but who he is now. While he would like to remember, he is more worried on making a name for himself and trying to live his life with his battered body. He currently lives with the Sandslash Kiri, and is friends with the explorer Ran.
Technically his life began after the Kami Trio Wars so he does not remember it.

His sword is black yes, but that's just for decorating. THere is nothing special about his sword, other than the fact he excels greatly at cutting himself with it in training.

Has numerous scars on his arms, legs, and chests. He covers the ones on his arms with black bands of cloth. Is also blind in one eye

He has an extraordinary talent at making plushies much to Ran's delight. He does, however, not like to admit that he knits BI

Cannot fly.

He has not met Arok yet but has heard of the hydreigon preistess through Seirin.

Arisu: [link] Another huggy hugs person whom he wish would quit. Though he does like hanging out with her, simply cause she's "interesting." That's what he calls fun.
