Well, technically there are no "bad guys" in AC stories(save a few jerks like the Borgias and Vidic and Rikkin) - Assassins, Templars... their feud is one in the grey area, Assassins aren't all good while Templars are not all evil, and both groups are but a matter of perspective.
Although I gotta say, Templars got WAAAAY better taste of fashion! Look at the color matching of Shay's outfit(as well as his ship!) - Black and red, mixed with a bit of silver - my most favourite color combination. Very formal, sharp, hardcore, feast for the eyes. The wearer can emit an aura of badass-y "I'm here for strict business, and I got no time for jokes so step aside if you know what's good for you", and the black/silver/red ship was like, "Coming in right now so get the f*ck out of my way!!!"
