I'd have to ask movie!Loki if being Hulksmashed feels like watching your comic counterpart nearly lose all hope. Because I would definitely know that feel too.

In any sort of other circumstance (e.g. if the circumstances for Leah involved murder), I am certain that kid Loki would have definitely snapped. While he's banished the shadow of his past as Ikol, Ikol - being his shadow of the past - continues to whisper in his ear of the destiny he had chosen for them, of the path that they are supposed to follow. And since they're really both one in the same Loki, it's a 50/50 now on who will end up getting control: Loki, or Ikol.

It's really hard to call whether this is Loki or Ikol's game at this point. We can see that Loki really doesn't want to go back and he wants to change for the better, but it's getting harder and harder to do so (especially in this chapter, oh god sobs). Still, Ikol remains a ghost of the past for now, and if Loki doesn't want to give in, he's gonna have to keep walking forward and not look back.

Haha, thanks! It was supposed to be standalone at first with just Loki holding Leah's feather/fragment...then I was like "no. I want this to be dark and experimental". That chapter definitely put Loki more to the test about being true to what he wants to be and not what he was before. I can't wait to see how it comes together!
