Description
Mother nature on the left and the grim reaper on the right.
Two enemies taking a break from their jobs.
Lots of symbolism if you look closer.
Their hair was supposed to match their wings but I donβt think I pulled it off to well. XDSorry I havenβt been on DeviantART much. 60+ hours using Photoshop CS and a Wacom tablet. I hope you like it.

Gorgeous! I love how they have chemistry, it really looks like they're looking at each other! This is a thing not many artists can do easily (myself included, however I'm not much of an artist xD) I also love how slender her fingers are and the way you executed the grass turning dead. However, a few things seem amiss, for example the sole of her foot seems somewhat flat, try round it a bit more with shading and defining her arch a little more. She's really beautiful all in all though, you even gave details to her midriff!
I have a few more criticisms on him, but I'd like to start off with what I like about him:
I love how his wings go over the two of them as if to show that even though he's bowing he's still got his pride. (Ironic as some say 'there is no pride in death.') I think his face is done to perfection, the highlight on his cheek - wonderful detail! And his shoes, even if it seems like a weird thing to comment on, are great. (Again your highlighting made that one of my top things)
Now onto the parts I think could use a little work, Personally, his hand unlike hers, seems a bit 'clunky' I know it's hard to shade on black, but due to the lack of shading and highlighting in the crevasse between thumb and palm the fist seems a bit more like a ball. Try making knuckle lines and playing more with shading techniques - I'm not a digital artist, so I don't know what advice to give you there, as blending and colours probably reacts differently the traditional mediums. The only other thing I feel seems a bit off on him is the arm behind his back, careful with your lighting! Unlike everywhere else, where it's shaded and highlighted to a point of arguable perfection (I say arguable, because I understand when an artist looks at their work they overly critique themselves) it seems to have a lack of blending in the tones, the light suddenly tops, and everything behind that line is blended. Because of that, the shape of the arm is somewhat distorted. Next tie, try playing more with the shape of his muscles and the lighting there, instead of just shading them.

The contrast in this picture is what drew me to it. I didn't see it as Mother Nature or the Grim Reaper at first. It's those wings, shapes, and colors. Having the wings opposing one another looks great; having red on one side and green, the contrasting color, on the other; and the positions the characters are in. Those all highlight this picture very well along with the simple, elegant background. It's neutral also.
This is very well done.
