Description Another large piece for my dragon shelf I just happened to be browsing one of my favorite shops and they had this guy. And this is from a shop that only sells kind of typical "gift shop" specimens that are SO common, but every once in a while they get something pretty unusual. Often times these unusual items are so expensive because they are either rare or highly collectible (I can never afford them), but this was actually pretty affordable so I had to take it. It has lots of purples and blues with some greens and even has a little bit of yellow, but that can only be seen when backlit. It weighs about a pound and it's almost as big as my open hand!

And I'll hopefully get the new page done for tomorrow D: We had a big tree fall in our yard and I was helping to clean that mess up today and run some errands (which is how I was able to stop by this store to find this thing). But now that the sun is down, I can have time to get this done!Ā

Thanks! I love fluorite too! I have several different colors and I'm hoping to collect at least one of every color and a few shades in between. I've always liked how many colors fluorite can be found in. It's a very pretty mineral!Ā

It does look like rock candy doesn't it? Sadly no XD Even if it was, it's too pretty to eat.

You won't believe how many times people relate crystals to food, for some strange reason. Out of all things to compare them to, I see food comparisons so much!

Haha, that is silly! And as was I, in a very silly mood!

Ooh, that's a nice color scheme for that cluster! This one's more on the lavender side with green-blue-purple shades.

Seems to have some layers of quartz too.

(was it windy where you were? hope your yard's doing fine)

Thanks! Yeah it has a tiny bit of quartz on the bottom and in those white bands. I'll have to get a picture of it back lit because it does have some nice yellow in it too. You just can't see it unless it has a light behind it.Ā

And yeah we had some wind yesterday and today, but that tree was half dead and was threatening to come down for a few weeks now (a severe storm and a lightning strike damaged it pretty badly a while back). We were going to have someone come out and take care of it, but it fell before we could have an estimate done. Just glad it decided to fall AWAY from the house! The yard has a few pits were it landed, but we have fill dirt left over from the installation of a new septic tank so that will be easy to fix thankfully
