In the series he played no part, he only appeared in a DBZ movie, though I don't know the name of it. And random questions are always welcome.

lol, yeah i ended up wikipedia-ing it. he was an unwelcome guest at a singing competition courtesy of Krillin. also something about he had a grudge against kakarrot for keeping him up at night while they were kids. (goku was a crybaby.)
