Collectively, they were Jötnar and a single one was called Jǫtunn. This race of giants used to thrive in the frozen winter-land of Jǫtunheimr before Ragnarök claimed their lives. They had a particular resentment towards Óðinn for slaying their ancestor Ymir; and an extreme hatred of Thórr because he slaughtered their people for bragging rights about felling ice giants. Not only were Jötnar adapted and immune to extreme cold, but could summon and control ice as armor. This helped them in battle and preserved their lives when they found themselves in warmer climates.The watermark looks ridiculous on her mouth
