with regards to your question, i don't use a fancy camera. just an ordinary point and shoot. it's a slim type canon ixus 6.5 megapixel digicam. i do everything else in photoshop and follow instincts.

mostly, i just make layers of pastel colors, liquify some, blend some and then that's it. a lot of times i also take pictures of the sky, cement, paint, rocks, glass, paper to use as textures.
