Description
The evil femme fatale from Bionic Six. In the origin episode, she was an old lady who got turned into a cyborg by the head villain Dr. Scarab.I thought her original design resembled a wetsuit and scuba mask so I decided to give her an underwater motif along with fish scale like visuals woven into her armor and tubing to further suggest half organic and half machine. I also exaggerated the asymmetrical aspect of the original look a bit more to make her look like a mad creation. Even though she had a sonic harp as a weapon in the original show, I gave her a harpoon gun instead to add to the aquatic sensibility. Plus it's not a common weapon I've seen used by cartoon or comic book characters in the recent years and it makes her seem more deadly.
I had a hard time doing color coordination on this piece because Madame-O's original colors- pink, blue, black, yellow and green clashed with each other. Went through several color tests before finally settling on what you see here.

True! Bionic Six, was one of the 80's best action cartoons. I feel they were a bit underrated and in the shadow of the "usual" crew of the time, which consisted of He-man, Transformers, Voltron, and Thundercats! Nevertheless, like most 80's cartoons, this one was WAY ahead of its time! The artwork alone was so advanced!

I agree - you made her more creepy yet sexy - dunno HOW you do it, but it does it dang well!! Oh on the "sonic harp" er main weapon from the crap toy I saw, was that it was some sort of blaster. So you did this extra justice. Strange - this underplayed character was more amazing than most of the cast. The only others I liked were Glove and Chopper. Hated the Bionic Six lot - oooooooooo too sugary and perfect for my liking.

Like I said before, it's not hard to redesign a visual if the character was well defined in the first place. That tend to give me a lot of information to go on.
Madame-O is probably not that attractive under the mask...

I found the origin episodes for the villains online. I don't remember where, unfortunately, but I can assure you it wasn't on Youtube. Youtube has gotten so strict about copyright laws you can pretty much forget about finding full episodes of anything.
Anyhoo, before her transformation, Madame O was an older woman. And a rather unattractive one at that. Definitely not MILF material. Looks like Dr. Scarab did her a tremendous favor because she's hella hot now! Unlike poor Klunk.

You know, considering that in the series, Madame O had a sonic harp, I was thinking this redesigned version should have the power to also emit sonic waves as a nod to the harp.
It would also keep to the aquatic theme, as she could use her sonics as a form of sonar, much like some animals in the sea do. With that ability, she'd be a tough foe for the Bionic Six to ambush, as her sonics would allow her to sense them.
I'd love to see you redsign other Bionic Six characters. I can see a redesigned Glove as appearing like a militia man, with camo gear and all that.

Interesting ideas. Too bad I am not handling the franchise in any official way, other wise I will probably use it.
Most of the redesign work I do for the 80's female characters are done for pinup purpose, so I tend to go for more T&A then practical sensibility. I would like to do a few more redesigns down the line for other Bionic six women in this fashion.

Real cool, man! I remember this show was on the Sci-Fi channel when I was a kid.
You know, as a nod to the sonic harp, I would've given her the additional ability to fire waves of debilitating sonics. It'll make her more dangerous as she can still really mess you up, even without the harpoon gun.
