----Xaques vs Sigylph: Shadow Ball KO.
...okay then!  Odd to have a battle "during" the credits, but nice resolution. =-) (Scared me for a moment there; I was expected Red-level epicness.  Also, since I already beat the Champion, I assumed re-using Xaques was now okay, since the game was "over", no reason to keep 'mons dead anymore. ...Right?)

Woooo, you made it! Fire type supremacy!

Barbaracle is an abomination that shouldn't exist, and apparently it might be useful for competitive battling, which makes me sad.

We shall rule the world with candlelight, camp fires, hellfire, and warm cuddles! \o/

That thing, competitive?  I have a hard time believing a Water/Rock type with mediocre defenses would ever be competitive...

Hellfire and cuddles, that sounds pretty effective. :3

Its defenses are actually decent, only its speed is bad. But it has Shell Smash. Also, Fighting types will be less dominant now because of the Fairies, so it has fewer enemies. Of course I researched this, I'm not a competitive battler past Gen I haha

I tried to make sure I covered all of our bases.  Even Jaxom likes a good bellyrub! X-D

Would it really have the chance to set up a Shell Smash set, though?  Unless the defenses are through the roof, it'd still be vulnerable to a 4x Grass-type attack, and a lot of non-fighting Pokemon can learn Fight-type attacks.  Heck, I OHKO'd it with a Grass-type attack from a non-Grass-type 'mon.... Granted, Delphox has great Sp.A, but a lot of 'mons do and can learn either Grass Knot or Energy Ball (like Chandelure).

That image. :'D

Many Pokémon have 4x weaknesses and are still good. If the Grass attack user isn't out while it uses Shell Smash, you'll have a problem. The people at Smogon don't consider it as the most amazing Pokémon, but it stands out from a 'rather underwhelming' mass of the generation. Smogon doesn't have the best reputation, but I kinda trust their judgement because just reading their articles made me win a Gen I tournament with zero previous CP experience.

Barbaracle: evolves from Binacle at level 35.  Rock/Water Type, high Attack and Speed, mediocre Defense and Special Defense, horrible Special Attack.  Abilities are Tough Claws and Sniper.

one of the few water type pokemon I actually like.

I guess it makes sense, just from what Barbacle looked like, that it evolved from something - but I've never even heard of a Binacle before, either. X-D

Binacles can only be found rarely under smash-able rocks in Ambrette Town, Route 8, and Cyllage City.  Basically looks like two hands coming out of a rock with Game Grump faces on the palms.
