This is such an incredible piece and so very touching especially to anyoneΒ who has children. So very loving and really puts into perspective, in the movie, the love that these two had for their son. We forget sometimes that at once they were innocent, trusting, and thought the world of you. ^.^Β

It's very beautiful, the softness of the colours, the strange sadness in Han Solo's eyes, the incredible sweetness that comes from it. In some ideal world, this is just a dad worried because his son has a light fever...
...
But this is Star Wars... even better than an ideal world... and Han is worried because the first signs that Ben is not a "normal" child have probably arisen... and we all know how it ends... (yes I may be pushing a very strange interpretation, nevermind, sorry)

No, it's not a weird interpretation at all.
My personal theory though...is that Han's and Leia's fears were detected by young Ben, because he was always strong in the telepathy department.Β He saw all of what he was in their eyes, not just what they wanted to show him.Β And I think it hurt him.Β Granted, his choices are still on him.Β I'm not absolving him.Β But I think he felt like he was a letdown and a screwup from a tiny, tender age, instead of unconditionally loved.Β He perceived...conditions.Β It makes me want to cry thinking of it.
