Interesting Idea it's obviously inspired by the M-16 as far as the body with a barrel more similar to a blunderbuss though and being single shot with no obvious reloading mechanism is it a muzzle loader ?

It's a breach loader. The breach, which has a small cover that has to be screwed into place prior to pressurization, extends to part of the pneumatic mechanism at the end of the stock.
Steps to fire:
1. Unscrew loading plate and slip a .58 ball into the groove. Screw plate back in.
2. Pressurize the chamber.
3. Fire.
4. Repeat as many times as desired.
