Phew, I feel like I haven't drawn some FF for ages ! I 'm completely into Kingdom Hearts mode lately, guess you can tell just by looking at my latest fanarts! XDAnyway, I am proud to present you the 21st character of my Dissidia NT series, and in my opinion , the best hero ever, Squall Leonhart from FF8!!
I guess those who have been watching me for years know how demanding I can be when it comes to my fanarts of Squall (and Rinoa). This fanart is no exception: I had started it when the first chapter of the Mobius x FF8 event released (in December), and I only finished it now that the event has just ended! O.o Been redoing parts again and again until I was satisfied!
Speaking of the Mobius x FF8 event, it was wonderful! I really loved seeing Squall in glorious HD graphics, and many FF8 locations such as Balamb Garden, Ultimecia's castle and the flower field in Edea's orphanage . My only regret is that Rinoa wasn't in the event, although they could have included her, since she was already in Dissidia NT... But seeing Squall interact with all the characters from Mobius (not only WoL and Echo , unlike the previous collabs) was awesome! The story was quite complicate to understand , but it was definitely an enjoyable collab!

Ah! Finally! I've been waiting for Squall!
The amount of detail in this is gorgeous, as always! I love the shine in his hair, the creases in his clothes, and my favorite part is how you made the leather *actually look like leather*! I love how you were even able to add details to his necklace and the lion on his belt! You also nailed his hair!
Some things that stood out to me that might need some work is mostly on his face. I feel like the scar on his face could have been a little longer, and I think that his lips are just a tad too big. These details don't really bother me, I just thought I should point them out.
Anyways, great work as always!
Can't wait to see who's next!

Thank you for your detailed analysis! Really glad you like him! I don't think the scar on his face should be longer than that, but maybe you're right. And the lips are a bit large because I tried to make his face as close as possible to the FF8 Squall ^^

I am not as familiar with the Final Fantasy games, but I know some of the characters, because of them being in Kingdom Hearts games. Squall here was top of my favorites. The way you have done all of the details here I can tell you put a lot of work into this. The pose here really works well for him. Including his weapon the way you have is great.

Thank you so much ! Squall is the best FF character in KH, he's the most important one, the leader of the Hollow Bastion team. I could tell in KH2 that Sora likes him a lot, although he's quite distant (but that's Squall for you, he makes people love him even with that cold and distant nature, surely because they realize he's not the one he pretends to be!).
His outfit was very detailed, glad you like the way I did it!

You're welcome. Leader huh? I can see why it would look like he is the leader. You don't get many characters with his personality or at least that I have seen of. It is a nice change. Probably one of the reasons why he is one of favorite Final Fantasy characters in the Kingdom Hearts series.

Mm, actually, in term of chapters, it's shorter (3 chapters= 6 parts) , but the first part of chapter 1 is very long ( 30 minutes of cutscenes!), so it's almost as long as the FFX event ^^
