They say the gods don't have heart... Emotions... He didn't know if he had one himself, but something about this one particular soul moved something inside him, stirring something even the majestic being couldn't pinpoint. The tiny soul couldn't speak, lacking both a physic body and a way to convey sound. Yet, the soul was heard, the clear tone resonating trough the starry night" I.... feel it...." was the first words the god heard, as the soul pressed a ghostly hand to his cheek, the immaterial hand brushing over his skin, a sense of warmth filling him for reasons he did not understand himself. "Mama.... Cries for me... " the spirit continued, pulsing slightly, a shimmering glow surrounding it. "Please.... Tell mama... "
"I didn't live very long.... But in the time I did... I was loved more than anything.... I was... truly happy...
Please... make mama smile again..."
The spirit spoke slowly, carefully removing the tiny hand, the message causing a smile to tug at the god's lips. The god didn't speak, yet he was heard, an echoing tone filling the void of the night. "Do not worry, little one... I will make sure your mama hears your message..."
"Now... little one...." the great being said, unfurling his large wings, "Spread your wings and take flight.... a brave new world awaits you..." The large dragon echoed thorought the night, the shimmering spirit smiling warmly back to the god, a trail of sparkling essence trailing from it.
"It's time, little one.... the final dance awaits... Let's celebrate it with a smile..."

Here is a sketch I did for a very good friend of me. I had this image the entire night, and it's in times like this I wish I were as skilled as you in drawing, so I could properly portray my image to you. I want to colour this when I can, so I can make this look worthy for you.

First of all, it needs to be said that this is VERY touching. The picture by itself is very heartwarming, and the story just multiplies it by portraying exactly what the context is. It's very meaningful and tugs at the heart's strings, and you did a great job at getting those emotions across. And all the detail you put into the picture is just brilliant, and adds even more to it. All in all, it's just plain beautiful. ;_;
