Description EDI from Mass Effect 3 (Alternate appearance pack DLC) with an Arc Pistol. The model is approximately scaled to Xenonray's ME2 paper models for consistency.
Overall 507 parts. Height 435mm.

Difficulty: VERY HARD
Download [HERE]

Original texture and model belongs to Bioware
Also thanks Sanek94ccol for the simplified head mesh, made my job a lot easier.

I'd like to say thanks to the creators of MEHEM (Mass Effect Happy ending mod). Thanks to MEHEM I'm finally over the utter indifference torwards the Mass Effect franchise that resulted from the atrociusly lame (personal opinion) last 10 minutes of ME3. Stay tuned for more ME characters

She looks great. I wished they had released a figure for her.

Why need a figurine when you can build her?

...I'm joking I know model building is not everyone's favorite passtime

I do custom action figures, so I can relate lol. Just wish I had the time for more. I have too many hobbies.

Not a cheap price too)
How can a make the two parts connection line so smooth? No matter how i try, it always pretty visible

DaiShiHUN In reply to DjezeRus [2015-09-07 11:51:04 +0000 UTC]

using grey marker pens to darken the cut edges,
not using too thick paper (180gsm),
and pushing the paper that had the flap out from the back using the back of my tweezers and the face of the table so the paper with the flap on it has a kind of 'Z' in it.

Hey man, awesome model.
I'm sure I'll have to reprint and retry more than once on those hands, but I'm going to give this bad-boy a shot.
Problem: My PDO for the pistol has one piece (mostly internal, looks like it's there for other things to attach to) that's not on the page in the 2D view. It's hovering outside of the page by the top left corner. Anyway to print this one little part?

Hi!
I think EDI is more likely classified as bad-girl

Parts like those are usually left out intentionally, it's a leftover part you won't need. (in this case that ladder like black part with green lines will close the hole in the pistol nicely)

Hi, which paper do you use? I'm searching for a good paper and i can't figure out which one is the best to build papercraft models. Glossy? Matte? Textured? Photo paper?Β
Could you give me a little help? >.<Β
(Sorry for my english, my native language is portuguese)
Thank you!

DaiShiHUN In reply to gabrieltavaresf [2014-06-04 17:01:39 +0000 UTC]

180gsm Verbatim matte photo paper for the most part, for non-weight bearing delicate parts (empty hands, heads) 120gsm HP matt paper.

great sir!!! just two question, is there any guide for this build? i can't find it inside zip files

also, how to convert from PDO into PDF? thanks

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

DaiShiHUN In reply to gothed [2014-05-06 16:53:15 +0000 UTC]

if you open the pdo with pepakura viewer you can check the place and folding of every piece as well as to which edges are supposed to go where, I'm afraid that's the only guide there is.

Also to convert to pdf install a virtual printer (e.g CutePDF) and print the template from pepakura using the virtual printer which in turn will save it as a pdf file

Amazing as always! Really nice job!

But I'm having trouble extracting it. Winrar says the archive is corrupt. Tried 7z, no good. Any ideas?

Thanks!
