Though, I can imagine that he calls her that because he saw some male demodragons calling other females that and he thought that it is another way of saying 'Female Demodragon.'
He honestly have no idea what the word 'sweetheart' truly mean.  He's so dense about romantic stuff.  XDDD


Just imagine him walking across underworld and comes across a female demodragon.
Tiras: Hey! YOU! SWEETHEART! Your strong! I wanna fight you!

Random Female Demodragon:     What the heck did you just call me?!?!

Tiras:   ...A sweetheart...What? You are one!?     


I think this will cause Akira to think that he is playboy but he's truly not. XD
And since he cause them to be triggered by saying that name, he'll use it as a insult. And he thinks it's funny.
