What an amazing piece, I'm assuming this is Bacchus the Roman god of wine and intoxication so I love the concept. I think that the grotesque body and the symbolism in place of the head portray well the celebratory orgies that were held in his honour. The background is really great too, something a little different than the textured look of your usual pieces.

A diet of wine, interesting concept. We have a stone tablet of bacchus hanging by our garden overlooking the grape vines. Another great piece.
