Description
An update to an earlier WIP of the same picture. This time I did some preliminary shading and color blocking. I wanted to keep the colors close to the traditional while updating it with that DCnU look. I wanted to give the seam lines a more Kryptonian pattern while not going overboard. I also didn't want to go too bright with the colors just yet. My plan is to give him a photo-sensitive uniform. Almost giving him a slight glow since his powers do come from the Sun. It would make some sense that his uniform would provide some sort of function in that regard.Related content

O.o He doesn't look Kryptonian or Super anymore. Actually he looks like he's still a "Super-Boy" hot a "Superman" since he hasn't graduated out his little boy short shorts. Neat Chest Logo and well done drawing though! Oh yes, if you're gonna do the yellow trim work all over the costume, don't miss the top of the boots

Uhhh, he doesn't look like Superman xD Which is the new Main Stream one. Not the old laugh at able retired one. All my years of loving the character the undies always bothered me, so I'm glad they're gone forever hopefully. Still you do some good drawing man and I do really enjoy the S shield.
