Color refined rendition of Pulsar Pureheart in her "Episode 1" (first appearance) initial costume

This is Pulsar's initial costume in her first appearance in Cornerstone City as well as her first few adventures. It wasn't as unique and anime-like as her present-day costume, though most elements of that is present there. She lacks the "heart" hair clip and the inconsistent boots and sleeves of the costume, more like a traditional Western-style superhero theme.

One summer day, disguised as Penny Polanski, Pulsar visited the apartment of her later boyfriend, photojournalist Kevin Kolawski , who first took photos of her and made her curious. Kevin, always the kind gentleman that he is, told Penny to make herself at home. Penny soon found Kevin's DVD collection of superhero and Japanese science fiction movies. After viewing some of the DVD, on of the films inspired her to update her costume to feel more unique and have a distinct personality, and led to the current Pulsar costume we all know and love.
