It's the fourth day in my Drawvember challenge, & today's piece is a unique piece of crossover fanart that fans of older movies will surely enjoy!One of my favorite movie musicals of all time (& also one of my favorite movies in general) is the 1952 classic Singin' in the Rain, which has such a great upbeat tone & lots of fun & memorable musical moments. It's star & co-director Gene Kelly certainly was a master of musical cinema & dancing, & I also remembered that he did an earlier movie involving a famous dance sequence. A movie he did prior to Singin' in the Rain was a film called Anchors Aweigh, which has a fantastic dance sequence in which Gene Kelly dances with Jerry the mouse from Tom & Jerry. So, I thought "wouldn't it be fun to see Jerry alongside Gene Kelly in Singin' in the Rain?" So that's just what I did! Here we see the movie's centerpiece number, the "Singin' in the Rain" musical number, & Jerry is tagging along for the fun!

(Fun fact: originally MGM Studios wanted Gene Kelly to dance with Mickey Mouse & Walt Disney was totally on board with the idea.... until his brother Roy Disney said "NO" to the whole idea! Luckily for MGM, they owned the Tom & Jerry cartoons, & Jerry worked out wonderfully in their favor!)
