Yeah they should just make the yearly updates (rosters and gameplay patches) and distribute them as DLC. It makes more sense than trying to repackage the same game each year at freaking 40 or 50 dollars.
And I'm getting sick of Saints-mania. I love how almost everyone has become Saints fans since 2006 and especially 2009 then trying to say "oh yeah we've been waiting for this for so long"...BS. All bandwagon fans imo.
Thats a great design on that WoO cover. I remember playing another game on Playstation 2 years ago...sprint car racing at Bristol was sick they should bring that back.

Yea Saints were given that SuperBowl anyways. Im a Colts fan, cause I've lived in Indiana all my life, but our defense stuffed Drew Brees ass hardcore in the first quarter, then all of a sudden we magically go from man2man defense to playing zone. They didnt even get a first down in the 1st qtr with us playing man2man. You can't play zone against Brees, OR MANNING..That game was decided before it got played, IMO and the game played out like it was. The NFC Championship game was the same way. The refs called the vikings for everything. I think the NFL was sad to see the Saints lose in the playoffs in 2007, so they wanted to give them "what they deserve". Thats professional sports in general these days tho. Its all a bunch of bullshit. Ow well, the Saints will go back to sucking and they will lose all but their true fans so im over it. lol
I remember that WoO game for ps2, however, I wasn't a huge fan of it, and I also wasnt a huge fan of dirt track racing at that time. Nor had I ever heard of the WoO period. I have thought about picking it up these days for my ps3 just because so I can play some of the old school drivers who aren't around anymore.

The 2009 Saints remind me of the 2001 Patriots in a lot of ways. Rules kept getting bent to move the team along. The fucking "tuck rule" in the AFC Championship Game was one biggest crocks of shit I've ever heard. Brady fumbled the damn ball and my Raiders (I'm a homer I like both Bay Area teams...a Raider Madden cover is coming soon to match this one) recovered it should've gone to the Super Bowl BUT seeing a Patriots team in the game instead would sell more tickets and make a better story because everyone was in patriotic mood after the attacks (the SB 36 badges on the jerseys matched the Patriots colors lol). I always thought Al Davis was crazy with his paranoia about how the league is out to get him but maybe he's right after seeing how they were blatantly robbed in that game.
The new WoO game has old drivers in? That's awesome...does it have Sammy Swindell, Barryhill, Hillenburg, etc?
