That's...rather extremely awesome. I don't think that is proper grammar. But still, this is an awesome image of Bahamut (one of my favorite summons. FFX version being my all-time-favorite)

FFX's also looked the coolest of the all, in my humble opinion.

What materials did you use? And it looks really really amazing. I must be hard to move in?

DarkerLink In reply to Cerii1 [2012-08-27 18:12:27 +0000 UTC]

I used mostly plastazote foam for the armour, over some pieces of uphlstery foam to give it the right shape - actually not too bad to move in, left lots of gaps in the armour meaning I could move about pretty freely - was even some video of me dancing and stuff! (looking forward to seeing how that turned out!)

plastazote, is that about the same material als craft/ eva foam?

Haha, that would be awesome to see
You did one hell of a job, really. It is so awesome 8D

Yep, that kinda thing - plastazote is good cos it comes on large pieces and doesnt tear easily like craft foam does

Thank you

I see. Might as well take a look at that too then.

I am still not sure what materials to use for my armor. Still busy with the research. I don't want to work with expensive materials right now since it is going to be my first armor. Figured i get some experience first

well it depends on the size of the armour pieces you are making and how durable they need to be - plastazote is nice to work with and durable but a little pricy? maybe about £50 worth of plastazote foam went into this costume.... if its smaller pieces and youre not woried as much about durablilty, then why not try foamies/craft foam - the brightly coloured foam packs for kids My Zelda shoulder armour and the armour from Ashe's wedding dress was made out of craft foam

Saber from fate stay night xD
Hmm, I am a little afraid that I might screw it up and that would be a waste of material. and if that is more pricy, then that would be a shame. But I think I'll be fine. Her gauntles I'm going to make of craftfoam, her chestplate and leg protectors, I'm not sure yet. But that will work out
Massive thanks for the info though

Yep its a great location - just looks really dramatic! Perfect photoshoot area for so many cosplays, even if the rest of the area around it was like abuilding site!
