Description
So the young lady is walking through the park (alone because her governess is gossiping somewhere) and as she twirls her parasol and plays with her fan by flipping it open and closed (Daddy hates it when she does that) she sighs to herself. Then suddenly she's no longer holding her parasol and she's arm in arm with a man! Not just any man either, it's that dashing daggy, unkempt young fellow from the other day! She could pull her arm away and give him a disdainful comment about his place in society (afterall she suspects he works on board one of the ships in her father's airship company); but she won't. Not that she'd ever say she actually likes him - he's far too annoying and confident and jokes too much and thinks he's so sexy with that sexy smirk of his. She can admit that deep down, just a little, she envies his freedom. She may have money and an influential father (he's thin coat and old-fashioned shirt attest to him having none) but he's the one who's free to go where he pleases and not be watched carefully by minders like herself (excepting the gossiping governess of course) and perhaps, as his goggles hint, he can even take to the air and not as a passenger at a stiffling dinner party either. Daddy would not approve of her even walking with him, but what he doesn't know won't hurt him. After all, her young walking companion doesn't seem so bad, she's even starting to like his stubble.

For his part, the almost-gentleman has been enjoying his day ever since he happened to see her meandering alone through the park. He simply couldn't resist going up an walking with her. Though she insists he's merely an annoying distraction - he reckons she has a bit of a thing for him

So this is my submission to the Colour-me-club's ([link] ) steampunk lineart contest. Finished with only a few hours to spare... It took so long that as I drew I came up with this whole crazy backstory and world.

An unimportant note about his outfit, the bow-tie around his boot belonged to a 'gentleman' who was harrassing his sister and some other young women who work on the airship with him. When he saw, he promptly punched the bastard and took the bow-tie as a momento.

Also, I want her dress.
