watercolor, much more formal design than what I'm used to doing ... but I still didn't make the butterflies all the same LOL!my first Mandala.... I'll have to try another one sometime, it was very relaxing!

Thank you, not a stupid question Mandala's are a circular based design and are found around the world. They are often used for meditation or prayer. Just do a quick google and you will find everything from Rose Windows in Cathedrals to amazing mandalas created in sand!

Beautiful work. I love the design and the colors, it looks very spring-like indeed. In a way it reminds me of a lamp shade - and would certainly make a lovely lamp shade.

but once I had the design sketched it was very relaxing to actually paint .. which is lovely!
