Actually had this idea a long time ago. In English, the fruit, a Pitaya, is most commonly known as Dragon Fruit, but in Chinese, the literal translation is "Fire Dragon Fruit"My Chinese handwriting isn't great because I never learnt to write properly >< but despite the Pitaya using the Chinese symbol for Dragon and the Rathalos's Chinese/Japanese name using the Japanese symbol for Dragon, both are pronounced the same way. So the MonHun players in my family have on more than one occasion made this joke about Dragon Fruit being Rathalos/Reus Fruit.
Originally I just wanted to do Reus and Reia (Possibly with recolours of their subs) but with MHX introducing yet more versions of them, I thought I'd include the Varients of them too. Also just sticking to main series for the moment, so no Frontier or Online, no Zeru Reus or Unknown Black Dragon etc)
For English (Aside from the Pitaya on the left) :

I've seen (and eaten) them with white flesh mostly, and actually was surprised to get one in England with a deep purple flesh too. Didn't know there were other colours XD on the outside, they looked pretty identical.

I wouldn't touch that Dreadqueen Rathian Fruit with a twenty-foot pole. It probably poisons an entire acre of forest just by growing there, lol!

I purposely tried to make the Purple Poison one look as deadly as possible, with more sickly looking colours and a deeper purple flesh. Glad to know it's worked XD

>< I actually haven't played a MonHun game for a few months and I haven't gotten MHW yet DX Some Games that I am playing at the moment - Danganronpa v3, They Bleed Pixels and (My current new obsession) Hollow Knight. >< I really want to get Celeste and Cuphead though.
