Half experiment. My first time playing around with Corel Painter 11, and I must say, its very different from photoshop. In a good way! I'll admit it takes some getting used to.Anyway, finally a personal upload, with full color and background of my character Invee in her quadruped form. You may have noticed that I've changed her design around a lot in the past couple years and for now I'm pretty satisfied with her design and color palette. Originally, she had typical, feathered, wings but decided to take them out. I felt her design to be more simple, and yet interesting that way.
I changed her colors around and gave her more of a navy blue coat in honor of my old fursona, StarBuster. (Note the star face marking as well) And I think I'm going to be keeping this design for her!

Looks nice, he definetly has a special feeling/atmosphere in the picture. I love snow <3. The character looks cute but I think it's hard to see his windgs or I'm blind : O. Hmmmm never tried Corel Painter

Well, according to wikipedia: "Infrequently, a griffin is portrayed without wings, or a wingless eagle-headed lion is identified as a griffin..."
So I guess it does exist! I did it only because I thought her design would be more interesting... But I'm not sure. I might redo her design again.

Thats very true. I never really thought of it in such a sad way! I've had a new design idea in my head for a bit and I think I might apply it to my fursona, we'll see though!

Painter uses different brushes to simulate real life medians such as, watercolor, oil pastels, etc. It's an extremely nice program, however, more "artsy" than photoshop.
