Description a fence is a frame
and a frame is a fence
a wall
a boundary
it signifies ownership
and the lack of desire to be associated
with it's neighbourhood

it says keep out
look! don't touch!
it says this is mine, not yours
mine not ours

every fence, every wall, every frame
defines another piece of common ground
lost

well i don't know entirely
people can't share everything
there needs to be common ground but...
this is mine, that is your's, this is our'sĀ
that works for me
as long as there is enough common ground

sensitivity means understanding boundaries, not breaking them down, or disrespecting them
we must understand the need for 'our own space'
if we are sensitive enough, then the fences can be removed, but the boundaries remain
that is respect

if you love someone, then you will accept their independence
and give them their space
with time and with trust
the fences may come down

but if you don't respect and accept the boundaries
then that is not love
