Over the past few weeks I've been drawing up a scene inspired by a plot line that pumpmonger1 and I had discussed, but ultimately abandoned, for Tetsuko's Odyssey. It was a case of an idea that would not leave me alone until I at least penciled it out; unfortunately I can't share that scene with you because it contains a major spoiler for an important character arc in the series.

But I can summarize it briefly by saying that the bulk of the scene has Red telling another character about Tetsuko, and her relationship with the "golden heroine", some years after the fact.

So I needed an image to summarize Tetsuko's amazing superhuman strength; I came up with the image of her lifting a gigantic boulder. Then the idea hit me to attach chains to the boulder, so that it's not only the immense weight of the boulder itself that challenges whoever tries to lift it, but also the huge, heavy chains that attach it to the ground. (Needles to say, as you can see, neither the chains nor the boulder's weight are any match for Tetsuko's magnificent muscles.)
