I took this picture of my little two year old cousin. There was a nasty storm out and she was afraid. So I tried to show her that storms weren't something to be afraid of. She ended up sitting in my lap by the window watching the storm with me

People are saying this picture is cute... but it doesn't feel that way to me. It looks like she is clutching onto her toy for comfort, maybe looking out the window because she is lost, or she needs someone to come and save her. I think the faded colours (with the nicely done highlights) add to this quite dark picture. Well, that's my view anyway- it is evident this picture says different things for other people.

I forgot to say, I did read the description and I do know she is looking out the window because you were both watching the storm, but I like detaching pictures from their current meaning to see what they say given new back-stories.

I stepped on my Savage Garden CD
I like how it's blurry like ghostly, but a good ghost, like Casper, protecting her from the storm. The lighting is kind of spooky, but still warm.

the color scheme is great here, just lovely. The lighting and the way the outside looks really looks great here. Maybe better clarity would help this but its still a good shot

i like how the colours are really muted, it gives emotion to this, but i think that there are problematic bits of colour, like a redybrown shadow on her arm, and the orange light on the window. you could probably set up a Colour mask in photoshop, to get rid of the extra colours, or you might not. it doesn't really matter. i love the layout.
