Oil on Canvas BoardMy interpretation of the Drakensberg in South Africa during the Autumn period. I thought I'd try a new technique. I used only a palette knife on this one and it was an immensely fun painting experience

This is gorgeous, I absolutely love the expressive strokes in your piece, the palette knife worked awesome!
Also you are right!! Our pieces are strikingly similar o-o! I really like highly saturated hues, and you have the same colors in your piece as I do in mine ^^.

Yeah, a lot of paint goes into this. But when I paint in this style I use the more economical student oil colours - so I don't feel bad about the amount of paint used. This I do for the pure fun of it, lots of expression and gesture goes into this and I love the feel of thick, wet paint on the canvas
