Wow. I absolutely love them. Excellent work. Their expressions are fantastic. Very well done. I especially love the way the elder of the two is grasping her sister's arm, almost as if to say 'look at the guy over there, no don't look! but look! he's taking our picture!' and the younger, 'it's not polite to stare...' *small laugh* Excellent shot.

I love the way the older girls plays up to your camera, the way she connects with you with those *eyes* (no wonder you have titled it thusly) and that almost mishcevious little smile on her face. Certainly a fun, captivating photograph.

Drop me an IM sometime.. i can try and explain the workflow to you. Essentially, it involves some desaturation of colors, a slight colorization hue/saturation layer, and then extensive dodging and burning. Sometimes I add a touch of diffused glow as well, with layer masking.
I want everything in my work to be deliberate, so I take a little bit of everything and use lots of layer masks in my work.

This is gorgeous. The expressions and the emotions that are captured. The colors are absolutely amazing. Almost like it was painted for perfection.

Thank you so much! This is a technique I have been working on, which is called "painting with light". Essentially, you have the base image and then you do a lot of dodging and burning just like in the darkroom days. It's osmething I've neglected in the past, but these days I often spend 20-40 minutes on a single photo alone. This is, of course, nothing compared to the hours I used to spend in the real darkroom; now that sucked!!

Not annoying... I guess it's the same way it's hard for me to visualize how someone can sit down for hours to produce a painting. But what it is is the drive for the final product... and then the time flies, because you know where you're going.
