While Danbuster and Retsubnad are apparently duking it out over whether or not the world's being taken over today, their friends decide it's not worth the trouble and take a social tea-break together... in any case, Frederick, Spencer and Thoronraw take tea while Wally serves them first...Related content

Heya Dan, meant to get onto the business of commenting and critiquing your works, so here I go here.
Vision) Right off the bat, I saw the original sketches for this drawing and now that it's all colored up, posed and whatnot, I could really see as an audience member viewing this how chill/relaxed everyone is. As if Frederick and Spencer stopped in their crusade against Danbuster's brother's conquest for global domination to have a spot of tea and cheese. Not to mention also seeing a gryphon drinking is a pretty nice touch here.
Originality) Well, it's tea time, how original can anybody be? Although as I type, I'm also having some iced peppermint tea myself so I could visualize myself joining in the group.
Technique) One thing that I've always enjoyed your works here is how clean the line works are and how clean the colors are in regards to each of the characters, between the shades of green with the Stilton and Frederick's outfit and Thoronraw's plummage, this came out very well done and I like the emotions you have here on each of them, Wally's smile alone is something worth it's weight in gold as he appears to be very satisfied to settle a conflict over a hot one! He alone is what made this picture stand out very well.
Overall Impact) Just like Wally's smile, I'm going to give this picture a 4 and a half out of 5 stars here! Not to mention I forgot to point out the use of perspective is very well done here as well, it shows how tall Spencer is as apposed to Wally and Thoronraw is just as big as Frederick here. Excellent job Dan! =3

Yeah, Wally's big grin is certainly adorable... he sure seems happy to serve - whether it's his Master or his friends!
And of course, this is all to scale - even Spencer being taller than the little weasel...
It was certainly interesting to figure out how a gryphon could sip tea, but Thoronraw has definitely got the knack... in addition to how comically-delicate his seemingly-clumsy talons can be...

Heh, yup! Under normal circumstances, Frederick, Spencer, Wally and Thoronraw can get along just fine together. Danbuster too.
It's just that Retsubnad has always been obsessed with conquering the world, trying to "set things right" as he believes and gain love and respect... something he never had in his difficult past...
Snag is, as he's soon to learn from Danbuster and his friends, this would not result in the utopia he dreams of but would rather lead to a dark future where the strong prey on the weak and Retsy is hated and feared and possibly eventually backstabbed by those who would gain his trust for their own advancement or survival...
I had been wondering lately if I might end up with Retsy becoming a reformed antihero whose intentions are well meant even if his brother needs to help him fix his moral compass...

Heh, yup - all things considered, these guys get along so much better than Dan and Retsy at times...
Sure, the brothers get along, but they still have that whole sibling rivalry going on... as for Frederick, Spencer, Wally and Thoronraw... they really couldn't care less. The brothers' bond is too strong for them to actually harm each other...
