Description made a scabbard for the saber. i'm not thrilled, but i was happy i could recreate a style with the metal on the scabbard that is on a WWII german bayonette i have. it needs some more work but its about done.

is it sharpened all the way down to the hilt?

it's sharpened to about an inch and a half to two inches of the hilt.

okey, seems a little short for a blocking area, dont you think? usually when i use a sabre in a fight i prefer to have the inner third of the length of the blade dull and thick to strengthen the parry area and the remaining 2 thirds for slicing however im no expert so i dont mind me if im speaking nonsense here but having the inner third dull and thick preserves the shape of the blade and helps it stand the test of time...and repeated use
